Tulsa police say a man that escaped custody early this morning is dead. Officers were sent to the Shoreline Apartments clubhouse near 21st Street and Mingo at around 4:30 for a possible break-in, and reportedly found the man naked inside. Authorities said the man was placed under arrest and was being cooperative until he broke free from officers, kicked open a door, and jumped into a pond while handcuffed. He never resurfaced, and his body was later recovered. The man has not been identified.
