The Tulsa Zoo is celebrating a big birthday for a group of big animals. The zoo's three Asian Elephants are all turning 50 years old.
Sneezy, Booper and Sooky each have a personalized regimen of medicines, diet and exercise. The Tulsa zoo broke ground this past summer on the new Oxley Family Elephant Experience and Preserve, which will feature 10 acres of roaming area for the elephants and upgraded and improved viewing areas. The new facilities will allow the zoo to increase its herd to as many as 10 elephants.
