A proposed bill would prevent individuals from receiving any medical gender-transition procedures in Oklahoma until they reach the age of 26. State officials say the measure, filed by Republican State Senator David Bullard, will restrict access to gender-transition procedures and limit funding for such procedure. It reportedly would ban related procedures such as puberty blockers and sex-reassignment surgeries. Authorities say proposed penalties ranging from felony charges to revocation of medical licenses.
