A referee from Oklahoma is headed to the Super Bowl.Ā Jerod Phillips, a member of the Cherokee Nation, has been selected as one of the officials for the big game on February Twelfth.Ā In addition to working as a ref for the NFL, Phillips is as a teacher and coach at Wickliffe Elementary School in Salina.Ā According to the Cherokee Nation, Phillips is likely the first member to officiate a Super Bowl.
