Oklahoma City's crime rate is dropping. Mayor David Holt announced this week that there were about five crimes per one-thousand people in the city last year. That marks a decrease from eight crimes per one-thousand people in Oklahoma City a decade ago. Oklahoma City Police say the drop in crime is due to a well-funded police department as well as a very good partnership with citizens.
