A dust storm in the Oklahoma Panhandle is being blamed for a fatal wreck on US-54 northeast of Optima. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man had crashed his van into a pickup that was stopped on the highway. The truck had been involved in an earlier wreck with an 18-wheeler. The man driving the van, died from his injuries.

The National Weather Service had issued advisories saying blowing dust was causing "significant reductions in visibility" at the time of the crash.
