The personal information of thousands of veterans could be at risk. KFOR reports that Oklahoma Department of Veteran Affairs board members learned yesterday that the social security numbers of 18,000 veterans had been exposed. State Chief Information Officer Jerry Moore told board members that the possible data breach took place when veterans routinely logged on to a veterans' program online and used their personal information. Investigators say that the portal was outside the state's protective firewall and was infiltrated, but no one's information has been criminally used so far.
