Oklahoma Highway Patrol Kept Busy Responding To Dozens Of Wrecks

The snow that fell in the state yesterday led to hazardous driving conditions, with wrecks closing down two turnpikes for hours. A wreck involving as many as 15 vehicles closed the Turner Turnpike between Stroud and Bristow and another wreck involving some trucks on the Will Rogers Turnpike near Miami closed down the highway there for most of the day. The Highway Patrol says it worked nearly 50 injuries accidents yesterday, along with more than a hundred wrecks with no injuries. They also had more than 100 motorist assists being reported.
