Oklahoma's public schools are being directed not to comply with President Joe Biden's changes to Title Nine policies. Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters announced yesterday that the Sooner State schools would not comply with the changes, which reportedly include gender-identity protections. Walters - who characterized the federal rule changes as illegal - reportedly urged school officials to avoid taking actions that could put their districts out of compliance with existing Oklahoma law. Federal officials say Biden's order enhances legal protections for LGBTQ students that had been rolled back under Trump.
