The Oklahoma City Council is rejecting the proposed site for the new Oklahoma County Jail. City Council members voted yesterday against zoning for the proposed project at Southeast 15th Street and Grand Boulevard. Leaders and residents in nearby Del City have spoken out against the jail site saying it would hurt small businesses, drive down property values, and it's too close to schools.
